CSK may bring back Faf du Plessis in IPL 2022
Chennai Super Kings that has retained M.S. Dhoni, Rabindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, and Rituraj Gaikwad for the IPL 2022 has notable absentees such as their South African batsman Faf du Plessis. The opening batter was CSK's second-highest run-scorer in 2021 IPL, having scored 633 runs in 16 matches and played a crucial role in their title-winning season. Faf du Plessis was also the team's highest scorer in the 2020 edition of IPL with 449 runs in 13 matches. However, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has not entirely ruled out the possibilities of bringing Du Plessis back in the team in 2022 IPL. He has commented, "He is an important man in the team who guided us to finals in the two important seasons. It will be our effort to go and try to get him back but at the same time it is not our hands."
