Davon Conway fractures his hand, ruled out of WC final
New Zealand's wicket-keeper-batter Davon Conway has been ruled out of Sunday's T20World Cup final as well as New Zealand's forthcoming T20 series against India commencing on 17th November at Jaipur as the batter has fractured his right hand out of frustration following dismissal in the T20 World Cup semi-final against England. Conway had contributed an important 46 in his team's successful chase of 167 to win the match finally. New Zealand cricket has conveyed a statement that Conway has sustained an injury when he struck his bat immediately after being dismissed and an x-ray report has confirmed that his right hand was fractured. He will naturally miss Sunday's T20 World Cup final as well as the upcoming three-match T20 series against India.
