Dhawan leads for Orange Cap, Harshal Patel for Purple Cap
In the ongoing IPL, with eight points in four matches, Royal Challengers Bangalore is at the top of the table. Rajasthan Royals however after their 3rd loss in four matches and with the worst net run-rate, have been pushed to the bottom of the table. However, in the run for Orange Cap, a stylish hundred against RR on Thursday helped Devdutt Padikkal to proceed to the 10th position with 137 runs in total in three games. The list is headed by Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman Shikhar Dhawan with 237 runs. RCB all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who didn't get the opportunity to bat against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, is on the 2nd spot in the list with 176 runs in 3 matches so far. Virat Kohli, the RCB captain also moved up to the 8th position with 143 runs in total, and in the run for the Purple Cap Harshal Patel overtook Deepak Chahar after having scalped three wickets for 47 runs in his last match against RR on Thursday. Patel has 12 wickets in four matches while Chahar is four wickets behind in as many matches. Kyle Jamieson (six wickets) and Mohammed Siraj (five wickets) occupy the eighth and 10th positions respectively.
