Ex F1 Driver Zanardi in a critical condition after a major bike crash!
Ex formula 1 racer Alex Zanardi once had his both leg amputated in a motor racing hazard which was a huge loss for him. This incident was almost 20 years back. This was then before going on to become a Paralympic champion.
This tragedy shook people of their conscious and now he had another accident setback where he crashed his vehicle into a truck during participating in an 'Obiettivo Tricolore' relay race in Tuscany. Over here he lost control of his bike on a hairpin bend and he collided with a truck in the path near Montalcino.
He was immediately taken to the nearby hospital in Siena, where he underwent surgery for tons of face and head injuries, after which he was transferred to ICU without fail.
The hospital quoted saying "Due to the serious head injury, the neurosurgery and maxillofacial intervention began shortly after 7 pm and ended shortly before 10 pm," "The patient was then transferred to intensive care. His condition is very serious."
What a brilliant champion he is with his Grand Prix achievement but this was in his fate.
We wish you a speedy recovery champ!
