First Test exclusion for Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer, who is a middle-order batsman in the Indian team, will not play in the first Test against Australia, which will begin on the 9th of February at Nagpur. We sincerely hope that Iyer will be ready for the second Test because the batter's back injury hasn't completely healed.

We might be seeing another dynamic player named Suryakumar Yadav who will be playing here in place of Shreyas Iyer. We really hope that Shreyas Iyer, who is still experiencing back pain, will pass the fitness test & will be eligible to participate in the second Test.

The NCA (National Cricket Academy) has ordered middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer to take at least two to three weeks off since he continues to experience lower back problems.

On the 23rd of December, 2022 on Friday the Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer played a shot in the second day of the 2nd test cricket match which was between India and Pakistan held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Iyer will be taking his treatment under the NCA.

Shreyas will also be not reporting in the Indian team's camp which is at Nagpur before the 1st Test match which will likely begin on the 2nd of February. One of the Indian board's sources said, “It will take him at least two weeks to resume playing cricket because his injury has not healed as anticipated.

We are pretty sure about it, that he will not be playing in the first test match and if he will be fine afterward then only he will be allowed to play in the 2nd test match. A sixteenth person from the Indian Test team has been chosen by the BCCI (The Board of Control for Cricket in India) which is a selection committee for the Test series which will be against the Australian team.

It is still not clear whether the replacement of the player will be chosen by the national selection committee, which is headed by Chetan Sharma, or if a fifteenth-person team would be playing for the 1st Test match at home.

According to a statement from the secretary of BCCI Mr. Jay Shah, Shreyas would be traveling to the National Cricket Academy. Shreyas's absence could provide Suryakumar Yadav with the opportunity to play his first Test match.

All-arounder Ravindra Jadeja will attend the Indian national team training, which will begin on the 2nd of Feb. On the 2nd of February, all the team members of the Indian cricket team are instructed to report to the authorities in the early morning so that they can discuss the strategies.

After playing for his local team Saurashtra versus Tamil Nadu in a Ranji Trophy game last week in Chennai, Jadeja was declared to be in match fitness. Saurashtra reached the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals, all thanks to Jadeja's approx forty overs of bowling and match-winning seven-wicket haul.

Last year, this player who is a left-arm spinner last played in a Test match against England. Unfortunately, he got a knee injury and went for surgery, due to which he was not able to play in the T20 World Cup.
