Kohli told Padikkal to get his century first

RCB kept its winning streak intact as the team registered its fourth consecutive win on Thursday defeating Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai by 10 wickets. Devdutt Padikkal has been the talk-of-the-town after having dished out his maiden ton as well as the first century of the League this season to help RCB secure the convincing victory. He was brilliantly assisted by the team's captain Virat Kohli who slammed 47-ball 72 also. In a post-match conversation Kohli, commenting on his partner’s performance, revealed that Padikkal was keen to keep RCB’s run intact rather than sealing his century. That is why Padikkal asked his captain to finish off but Virat informed that he had asked Padikkal to focus on his century and get it first. In the post-match media conference, Kohli had also praised Padikkal and stated that the Karnataka batsman deserved to achieve the three-figure mark. Padikkal reached his century on the first delivery of 16th over. He scored 101 of 52 deliveries, hitting 11 fours and 6 sixes. The win has helped RCB regain pole position in the League table after four wins from four matches. RR is on the bottom of the table with a win and three defeats from four matches so far.
