Kumble’s tutelage helps Bishnoi get matured
Anil Kumble, the legendary Indian leg-spinner and director, cricket operations of Punjab Kings revealed the inside story of Ravi Bishnoi who despite not playing in the team's first four matches had delivered such effective bowling with two wickets in the Punjab Kings' important match against Mumbai Indians. Kumble has explained that he was working with Bishnoi at the nets with his run-up as well as the flight. This was disclosed in a video posted by Punjab Kings on social media. Kumble said that Bishnoi was not the same bowler when he joined Punjab Kings last season. But working under the careful observation of the legendary leg-spinner Bishnoi has matured a lot. Bishnoi and Shami picked two wickets each as Punjab Kings restricted Mumbai Indians to 131 for 6 before the batsmen took Punjab over the line. The former India skipper also had praise for team captain K. L. Rahul, not only for batting well but also for changing the bowlers intelligently throughout the match. Punjab Kings is now in the 5th position in the IPL table with 4 points from five matches so far. The team will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
