Mamudullah retires from Test cricket

Bangladesh all-rounder Mamudullah has retired from Test cricket confirmed Bangladesh Cricket Board. The all-rounder's long 12-year tenure in the longest format came to an end on Wednesday. Mamudullah commented, "I always had thought of going on a high and I believe this has been the right time to say goodbye to my career. I want to extend my gratitude to the BCB president for having supported me when I returned to the Test team." The all-rounder also has conveyed thanks to teammates, coaching staff for their belief in his ability. The all-rounder having played 50 Tests for Bangladesh, has scored 2914 runs at an average of 33.49 and has managed to scalp 43 wickets with the best figure of 5 for 51. Mamudullah will be continuing playing in ODI and T20.
