Mitchell gives credit to Neesham after his bombardment
Daryl Mitchell whose turbulent 72 off 47 deliveries helped New Zealand to stun England in the T20 World Cup semifinal on Tuesday has given thanks to his teammate James Neesham commenting that it was possible for him to make the runs in such a way mainly for the great support provided by Neesham from the other end. The pair of Mitchell and Neesham 40 runs in just 17 deliveries as the Kiwis closed the run-chase with one over to spare. Mitchel said, "It was a challenging surface with the new ball and it was two-paced. The way Conway set the platform and Neesh hit a few out of the ground was simply amazing. We got the momentum back thanks to Neesham's hitting." Mitchel was also overwhelmed as his father, traveling halfway around the world, went to Dubai to watch his son's performance.
