Mitchell Marsh happy to have proved his mettle
Australian batter Mitchell Marsh expressed happiness after his magnificent 77 off 50 deliveries against New Zealand in the Twenty20 World Cup final on Sunday played an important role in steering Australia to earn the maiden T20 World Cup title. Marsh thanked his teammates and all the support staff commenting, "It was an amazing six weeks with the whole team. The coaching staff came to me and assured me that I would bat at the number three position for this competition. It was absolutely inspiring and I feel I have done a little bit of that for the Scorchers."He added, "I thank everyone in the support staff and I just wanted to go there and make my presence there. Big Marcus Stonis always talks about having a presence."
