Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma hails BCCI’s decision to postpone IPL

After the cancellation of the 14th edition of the IPL 2021, most of the franchise teams have extended support to the people of India going through the pandemic-induced tough times. The official social media handle of defending champions Mumbai Indians also expressed their support through an Instagram video wherein their captain Rohit Sharma hailed the Board of control for cricket India's (BCCI) decision to suspend the tournament. Along with Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Adam Milne, Jayant Yadav, Shane Bond, and Robin Singh were also part of the video. In MI's video, Sharma said, “In the light of everything that is happening around the country, I think it's a very good decision.” - @rohitsharma45. Till we meet again, we hope you keep staying safe and strong. #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians #MI #IPL2021 #KhelTakaTak @MXTakaTak MI TV.” The BCCI and the IPL governing council postponed IPL 2021 indefinitely due to a surge in the coronavirus cases in the country. The decision to adjourn IPL indefinitely was taken on 4th May when a total of four IPL players were confirmed to have tested positive along with several members of the team staff as well as the ground staff.
