Pietersen said he would never have paid Morris the amount
Rajasthan Royals bought for a whopping amount of Rs 16.25 crore for South Africa cricketer Chris Morris in the auction for IPL 2021. The cricketer, despite having played all four matches so far this season, has not been able to deliver up to expectation. Morris won a game for the Royals against Delhi Capitals with the bat scoring an unbeaten 36 but with the ball, he has conceded 139 runs in 14 overs and has picked only five wickets. Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has opined on the South African player that he would have never paid that amount to Morris. The former England skipper felt that Morris is feeling the pressure of the price tag.
Pietersen stated that although his comments might sound harsh, he honestly would have never paid that amount to the South African cricketer as according to former England batsman Morris does not deserve that amount of money. Pietersen also added commenting that Morris will not be able to deliver consistently. Pietersen observes that if Morris performs in one match then his performance would be missing in the next few matches. Pietersen feels that everybody is expecting too much from Morris as according to former England batsman, the South African all-rounder does not have any special in his game.
