Sanju Samson sets new record
Sanju Samson set a new record on Monday in his team Rajasthan Royal's IPL opener against Punjab Kings in Mumbai. Samson became the first batsman to hit a hundred in the IPL on his captaincy debut. Samson's spirited 119 off 63 balls finally failed to bring victory for Royals as they lost to Punjab outfit by 4 runs. The battle ended in the last ball. Samson also has included in the list of most hundreds in IPL, being the second Indian batsman after Virat Kohli (5 centuries in 193 matches) to score maximum tons (3 centuries in 108 matches).
