Vettori reveals reasons behind releasing Hardik Pandya
New Zealand's former captain Daniel Vettori has revealed two reasons which he felt could have guided Mumbai Indians to release Hardik Pandya, at least for the time being. The first reason Vettori points out is money and how after spending a lot of their first two retentions Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard. Pandya and the franchise could not have reached an agreement. Vettori has commented, "It should be about money. Otherwise, it cannot be that Mumbai Indians did not want Hardik. Every franchise will want him." The second reason Vettori has mentioned that Haprdik wanted a different set of players such as K.L. Rahul for the upcoming IPL that the franchise did not have any plans. This might have parted Hardik from Mumbai.
