Women’s Team Victory over England in U-19 T20
The under-nineteen team of the Women’s Indian Team had a victory in a T20 match. The team has teenage girls. The team is led by the dynamic player Shefali Verma and the team created history today by winning the match.
The under-19 team first ever held the ICC Trophy, which is a very proud moment for India. The Indian team won by seven wickets over England. The match was held on the pitch of Potchefstroom and our Indian teenage girls team won the match on Sunday.
These under-nineteen girls did incredible work on the pitch which seniors tried to do but couldn’t. The under-nineteen team won the final match in an ICC T20 match with very great efforts. It was truly a one-sided victory today which our Indian team did.
The Indian team won the prized championship by first dismissing the England team for sixty-eight runs in 17.1 overs, then coming back to chase them down the meagre goal in fourteen overs.
Trisha, with stumps in her hand, is one of the teenage girls from the team who has given the statement that “it is a very proud moment for us, as it is our first World Cup and dynamic victory.”
Today’s victory also confirms India's superiority at the under-nineteen level, when the country’s young ladies won the world championship in the Caribbean which was held last year. The bowlers of the team attacked very nicely, especially Titas Sadhu.
Parshavi Chopra, one of the leg spinners, has done a very great job on the ground today. She set up the win in today's match. All the players played very well in today’s match that’s why we have a victory in the first-ever ICC twenty- twenty match.
Talking about the other bowler named Sandhu, she also played very well and showed very impressive bowling skills just like Jhulan Goswami did for the Indian team. Jhulan Goswami showed very impressive scores which were 4 -0-6-2.
Prashavi Chopra showed very good skills by taking up the two wickets in just 13 runs, which was her dream too. Another incredible bowler named Archana Devi took two wickets in just 17 runs. If we talk about Mannat Kashyap took 1 wicket in 13 runs. Shafali took 1 wicket in 16 runs. If we talk about Sonam Yadav, she took 1 wicket in three runs.
Shafali, the captain, chased sixty-nine runs, which is a very huge score according to history. On the success of the teenage girls on the International platform, we wholeheartedly congratulate them and we wish them great success in the upcoming matches too.
As the Indian Women's team never won on an international level before, this is a very prestigious and proud moment for India and the Indian team who does so much hard work to be on this level today.
