‘Would you still accuse me?’– Sourav Ganguly feels there is a lot of women’s cricket happening

In the past months, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has organized a lot of tournaments for Men’s team including IPL 2021, India tour of Australia, England tour of India, and IPL 2021. In comparison to the Men’s cricket team, the women’s team has hardly played any cricket and the same has resulted in the fans accusing BCCI of not paying attention to the women’s team. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly finally opened on the accusations that Indian women’s cricket has continued to languish under the BCCI. Ganguly asserted that it isn’t the board’s fault as the whole world has been gripped with a deadly coronavirus and that has made hosting tournaments tough.

“What to do? We have been living with this deadly virus. Other than the men’s cricket, we had the women’s IPL. South Africa women played here,” Ganguly said in an interview with Sportstar. Further, Ganguly counted the matches that India’s Women’s team will be playing. The former Indian captain revealed that the women’s team will travel to England alongside Men’s team on June 2 for a lone Test match followed by three One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals.
