Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble is in the second spot with 49 wickets from his 10 Tests. He had to bowl 534 overs in total and he has given 1849 runs. Out of the present-day Indian bowlers, Mohammad Shami features in the list with 31 wickets. 

Most wickets in a series in Australia

Wayne Clarke, Australia's other fast-medium bowler has placed himself in the list of most wicket-takers in a series by claiming 28 wickets in the 1977-78 series. 

Bowling average and strike rate

Jasprit Bumrah who alone wrecked Australia at Melbourne in the 2018-19 Test series, picking up 6 wickets for 33 runs has acquired the best bowling average and strike rate between both the countries. Bumra gathered 21 wickets from his three Test-series in Australia at an average of 17 while Australian fast bowler Ben Hilfenhaus features in the second place with an average of 17.2 and Bruce Reid is in the third spot with an average of 20. Talking about the strike rate, Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle has an impressive strike rate of 36.4 on his 20 wickets against India. Hilfenhaus is following in second place with a strike rate of 37.3 while Sir Dennis Lillee has ranked in the third spot with a strike rate of 42.4.

Best spell (innings and match)
