RCB vs PBKS Match Prediction IPL 2021 | Who will win?

PBKS V/S RCB (Match 26) Pre-Match Analysis (Today’s Match Prediction) VIVO IPL 2021: Captain, Vice-captain, Fantasy gaming Tips, Probable Playing XIs for Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore  T20 Match at Narendra Modi Stadium, 7:30 PM IST Friday April 30th, 2021

Head-to-Head

For match number 26, we move on to the Narendra Modi stadium where the Punjab kings take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore under the lights. Both teams are coming into the match with contrasting situations. On one hand , we have Punjab who are devastated with the kind of IPL they are having this year, they just lost to the KKR and have slipped to the bottom of the table while the Royal challengers are riding high on success after beating the Delhi Capitals by 1 run in a nail-biting encounter, the one they thought they will lose.

RCB will be coming into this match with a lot of confidence, they are at the top, all their players are riding high on success and the things that were not clicking earlier are clicking now! So, not only are they performing well this year but they are also getting lucky as things are working in their favor.  If anything, they will be looking to beat PBKS here and move on to the next match for bigger challenges.

PBKS, on the other hand will be desperately hoping for a miracle tonight! They have tried almost everything but in vain. They have lost majority of the matches they have played and now it is time for them get and take it on the chin!

Pitch Conditions

This is a big ground and we saw in the last match how hard it is to score on this pitch. The ball turns a lot during the middle overs and both the sides have some exciting bowling talent. RCB has an explosive batting talent in their squad so it might be a high scoring match if they win the toss and decide to bat first.

Batting

RCB:

The RCB have some really strong batsmen including the best batsmen in the world Virat Kohli who is opening the batting these days with Devdutt Padikkal. AB de Villiers  and Glenn Maxwell in their line-up adds a lot of experience in their line-up and the good news is that Glenn Maxwell is back on the scoring sheet! If they want to go for some interesting options for tonight, Dan Christian, Mohammed Azharuddin and also a certain Daniel Sams. Youngsters like Sachin Baby, Srikar Bharat, Pavan Deshpande, Shahbaz Ahmed and Washington Sundar provide them plenty of options to choose from and these boys are getting good exposure.

PBKS:

Their batting order is definitely one of the best but off late, they have not been up to the mark. They have the Universe Boss Chris Gayle; they have the best T20 batsman Dawid Malan, they have their captain KL Rahul and youngsters like Mandeep Singh and Mayank Agarwal. In the middle they have players like Sarfaraz and Shahrukh while in the tail end they have someone like Moises Henriques who can smash a few out of the park when the need be. All in all they look like a batting side to play against. The first match will give them a good idea of which attack to go with.

Bowling

RCB :

The Bangalore team looks as strong in the bowling department as they are in the batting department. Harshal Patel has been phenomenal to watch and did an exceptional job in their previous match, bowling in the death overs. Mohammed Siraj is going through a rough patch but is still looking promising. Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed and Kane Richardson add a lot of depth to the line-up while the star of the show this year has been Yuzvendra Chahal with some really good performances and the purple cap contender for his team.

PBKS:

This year they have made some serious changes to their bowling department after their failure to live up to expectations last year. They have the likes of Chris Jordan, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith and of course India pacer, Mohammed Shami. They will have three good spin options in Ravi Bishnoi, Murugan Ashwin and Saurabh Kumar. Their bowling was a serious area of concern last year and this year they will be looking to turn it around.

Match Prediction

This could very well be a one-sided contest, given the fact that RCB is looking like the best team this year while PBKS are looking like the weakest. Whatever happens, it is going to be good contest between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul led-teams.
