Ashwin and Axar will be key attractions once again in the 4th Test

An interesting scenario has come up all of a sudden where Australian fans seem to be cheering for England before the 4th and concluding Test against India commences on 4th match on Thursday at the same Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat. Joe Root’s team can receive warm support from Australian cricket lovers as the reason is that if England can beat India in the 4th Test to level the series 2-2 then Australia, presently placed in the 3rd position with 332 points will surpass India and make it a final against New Zealand in the World Test Championship. England’s hopes were crushed by a 10-wicket disastrous defeat within only two days in the 3rd Test at the same Narendra Modi Stadium. Now they trail the series 2-1.

Leach rather has commented that they have been making their whole focus on the match rather than talking much about pitch. Leach also gave credit to Indian spinners and mentioned that they should be away from criticizing the pitch. 

India Vs England 4th Test preview should also mention the batsmen of both the teams where most of them had failed to click except Rohit Sharma who had struck a competent 66 off 96 deliveries even amidst the batsmen’s disaster on spinning-track. He will be surely trying to maintain his form. Virat Kohli who despite having started patiently, failed to make a big score (27 off 58 deliveries). On the other hand, England captain Joe Root also who was in tremendous form at the beginning of the series struggled to find runs in the 3rd Test, especially in the crisis of his team. Anyway, he will have to be watched by India as Root is always dangerous once he gets going.

However Indian team is unlikely to make major changes except for Jasprit Bumrah’s self-dissociation from the 4th Test. Umesh Yadav who already has been cleared in the fitness test is likely to get into the squad. 

The 4th Test will have another attraction that Virat Kohli will be touching MS Dhoni’s record of maximum matches as captain. The right-hand batsman is also 17 runs away from 12,000 international runs as captain, a feat achieved by Rickey Ponting and Graeme Smith before him.
