Hitting six sixes in an over is equally tough like scoring 400 in a Test or achieving 100 centuries. The record of hitting six sixes in an over had initially been registered by two international cricketers, Herschelle Gibbs and Yuvraj Singh, But Kieron Pollard has recently added his name to the list after having hit six sixes in an over of Akila Dhananjaya.
However in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this record has not yet been stitched and surely it will be interesting to watch whether any batsman can become the first one to achieve this feat in the IPL. Rahul Tewatia reached closer to the achievement in the last edition of the IPL, unleashing five consecutive sixes against Caribbean pacer Sheldon Cottrell representing the Punjab Kings. The left-handed all-rounder had executed a blistering 53 off just 31 deliveries in the match.
Now, before the current edition of the IPL starts in April 2021, a list of probable has been made where IPL 2021: 5 Batsmen who can hit six sixes in an over in the tournament.

He is nightmare to any bowler and he is one who has the ability to achieve the feat of hitting six sixes in an over.
Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle must be in the list of IPL 2021: 5 Batsmen who can hit six sixes in an over in the tournament. This West Indian batsman is generally called universal boss of the shortest format of the game. In the IPL Gayle holds the record of hitting maximum sixes (349) along with the highest individual score with his name. In the subsequent editions of the League, in 2012 and in 2013, Gayle had smashed more than 50 sixes which was also a record. In 2011 IPL, Gayle had scored 37 runs in an over but that consisted of three fours and four sixes. So, the fans are expecting Gayle to burst out with his willow and create history in the League, hitting six sixes in an over.

AB De Villiers
AB de Villiers is the batsman who holds the record of scoring fastest fifty and the fastest hundred in international cricket. In IPL ABD has smashed the second most number of sixes (235) and has been maintaining a strike rate of more than 150 since 2012 edition of the League. The South African batsman has also notably scored more than 4800 runs in the League. So, ABD has also a chance of hitting six sixes in an over.

He will have opportunity in the IPL this year to repeat the same feat and might become the first one to make in the IPL.

Hardik Pandya
Hardik Pandya is also, like Pollard, one of the most aggressive batsmen India has produced in recent times and he is also regarded one of the jewels in Mumbai squad in the IPL. He has smashed 93 sixes, out of 25 were exhibited in the 2020edition of League. Pandya also maintains the strike rate of nearly 160. Although Pandya has just come out of his injury, he will have a chance to exhibit six sixes in an over and become the first hero in the League history.
