Australia vs India 2020- 2021 – 3rd ODI Match Prediction

As we witness a high-voltage series in the India tour of Australia 2020-21, the excitement keeps rising. The Indian team, at the moment is practicing in Australia for the upcoming long tour against the mighty Australians. The Australia vs India 2020-21 has begun on 27th November at the Sydney Cricket ground with India losing the first two games and this ODI battle has been won by the Australians. Both sides locked horns at the ODIs from 27th with just 1 match remaining. Both Teams will then move on to three T20 matches and then will finally play four test matches.

Last time when we witnessed an India tour of Australia in the year 2018, when everything around us was normal, India registered their maiden test series win 2-1. This time around the Australians will be looking to take revenge on the Indian team. The rivalry has an exceptionally long history and many players have made their presence felt whenever these two giants locked horns. Today, we are going to take look at both the teams and analyze how both of them are looking against each other. This will help you crack the Australia vs India 3rd ODI match prediction

1st ODI –

Australia won the first ODI of the series by 66 runs leaving India looking for answers. Australia after winning the toss came down to bat first and dominated right from the start. With Warner and Finch firing right from the start and with Smith scoring a match winning hundred, Australia finished at a mammoth total of 374 runs. Finch finished as the highest scorer with 114 runs on the board. Australia lost just the top half of their line-up and finished strongly. Among the wickets, were Navdeep Saini, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, with Shami leading the camp with 3/59 from his quota of 10 overs.

On the other hand, the Indian batting line-up fell like a pack of cards with only Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan scoring 90 and 74 each. The sad part is the only batsman who got any sort of score was tailender Navdeep Saini who got a steady 29 of 35 balls and stuck to his crease to save some embarrassment. Among the wickets in the Australian camp were Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa, with Zampa leading the charge with 4/54. It looked like the Indian team had no idea how to contain the Australians. Only when the game got to the 30th over, the Indian team picked some pace and started getting used to the game.

2nd ODI –

Australia continued its luck in the second match and won the toss again this time! It seemed like a complete dejavu as Australia went out to bat again, posting another massive score of 389 runs for the loss of just 4 wickets. Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner both smashed fifties and led Australia to a good score. Maxwell also joined the party and pitched in some important runs, while Steve Smith smashed a second hundred in just 64 balls and help put on a score of 389/4 on the board.

This time the Indian batting side put on a good fight, with captain Kohli and KL Rahul coming out on top with 89 and 76 runs, respectively. Shreyas Iyer pitched in 38 runs to give his side some sort of push but the Indian line-up again failed to live up to the expectations and finished their innings at 338/9 in 50 overs falling short of 54 runs to win a match that looked well settled at some point. This was the moment when India realized that they have got it all wrong and will have to mend their ways soon if they want to  save their pride in Australia.

3rd ODI –

The third and final ODI is to be held at the Maluka Oval and this is going to be a lot more than just a cricket match. This match will decide the fate of both these teams going forward. Will Australia enforce a whitewash? Will India be able to save their pride? Can India register their first points in the ODI Super league? All these questions will be answered tomorrow. This time the all the focus will be on the Indian bowlers, who will have to find a way to restrict the Australians to a minimal score. The batsmen are still doing a decent job by putting on a respectable score but its not enough to win matches! In short, India will have to find a way to comeback into their game.

This is going to be an exciting contest! Australia are looking stronger than ever and India, despite a formidable team are not being able to make any difference to their current fate. India as team has ruled for quite some time now and now that they are getting tested against a strong Australian side, things in the battlefield are getting hotter by the day! Sit back and relax, this is going to be a hell of a show!
