IPL 2021 Match - 3 SRH vs KKR | Full List of Playing XI

SRH vs KKR (Match 3) Pre-Match Analysis (Today’s Match Prediction) VIVO IPL 2021: Captain, Vice-Captain, Fantasy Gaming Tips, Probable Playing XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders T20 Match at Ma Chidambaram Cricket Stadium at 7:30 Pm IST Sunday April 11, 2021

Head-to-Head

What a start to a wonderful weekend! We just had a super Saturday and now we move on to the Blockbuster Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Cricket stadium where the only two overseas captains clash against each other, Yes! David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad are going take on Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata knight riders in Chennai’s heart. This encounter guarantees an amazing show of bat and ball! The Sunrisers went through a lot problems of injuries and unavailability of few players in the last season but this year they have strong squad and their best players are already showing a lot of promise. Many key players like Jonny Bairstow, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Warner will have a lot heat on them to perform well! They won the trophy once few years ago and will be looking to make a strong start in search of a second title win.

On the other hand, the men from the city of joy Kolkata will be gearing up for their third title win! In spite of some really good performances last year, they couldn't make a big difference in the league, they kept losing important matches and faced problems, both on and off the field like their captain stepping down from his role in the middle of the season and handing it over to Eoin Morgan in a high-pressure situation where they had to win every match to qualify. This year, however, things will be a lot different as Eoin Morgan, the captain who led England to a world cup victory, will have the whole quota of matches as captain which he did not get last year. The Knights are looking good in the practice session and looks like they are a different team this season. It's going to be a cracker of a contest.

Pitch Conditions

The match is going to take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. We saw how Mumbai and Bangalore had nail biting contest in the opener on this ground, same is being predicted for this match! This is a high scoring pitch and is really good for chasing, which we witnessed in the first match. Whichever team wins the toss must take the field as we saw Kohli did in the first game. The pitch gets better with time like fine wine so the team batting second will have an advantage here.

Batting

SRH:

A batting line up which is headed by David Warner has a lot more talent in the depth of their ranks. There is a constant toss-up between Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow to take one overseas position in the team as David Warner already fills one and they also need someone like a Rashid Khan in their ranks which makes it a very difficult task to pick the right talent for a particular match. They also have roped in Kedar Jadhav in their squad this year, who is a handy contender in the middle. Apart from this they have plenty of good options like Manish Pandey, Priyam Garg, Jason Roy, Wriddhiman Saha and Jason Holder.

KKR:

KKR have been unpredictable with their batting which is both bane and boon for them. They rely heavily on Andre Russell which is a strategy they will have to change if they wish to reach the final. Their top order looks good with two youngsters Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi looking in good touch. Eoin Morgan needs to promote himself up the order so he has more balls to play. Dinesh Karthik and Russel can provide them a perfect finish if they fix their batting order correctly.

Bowling:

SRH:

The return of India pace bowler Bhuvneshwar will strengthen their bowling attack, last season his injury was a major setback for the team and they will be looking to make full use of him this year. He missed an important part of last year's IPL due to an injury. The right-arm pace bowler did well in the recent limited-overs series against England.

Apart from Bhuvi, the SRH has the likes of Rashid Khan, Jason Holder and T Natarajan. Rashid Khan has been one of the world’s best T20 players recently and is an asset for his team while young Natarajan is a sensational bowling talent which everybody has already witnessed in the last season. The SRH pace attack as well as spin attack will be a challenge for KKR.

KKR:

One thing that every cricket expert can agree with is that KKR's forte is certainly their bowling, especially the spin bowling attack. This year, they have also included Harbhajan Singh to Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav and Shakib. Pat Cummins will lead their bowling and Russell mixes the deliveries well. Which means they do not have to heavily rely on just one bowler and there will be space for everyone to come out and rise to the occasion.

Match Prediction:

SRH are a really good batting unit, what they have to keep in mind is that if they choose their batting options correctly, they can make a whole lot of difference. Their batting order needs to find the right combinations. This is also the case with their opponent, who have struggled in the past because poor decision in the batting order.

Both teams look equally poised to win this contest. One of them is good batting side, while the other is an excellent bowling unit. Who will win? Only time will tell!
